I got scammed like this a couple years ago. The scam was honestly really obvious looking back at it, I was just being really stupid that night and wasn’t thinking. They sold my account and all my shit

This isn't bannable... But it's illegal. Doing that to hack someone's Microsoft account is a felony I think.

I have fallen for this myself but did manage to retain my account after going through Microsoft’s password reset and resetting my password. They also tried to have me buy my account back. Thankfully they didn’t touch my stuff that I’m aware of.

In general don't trust people on discord since these scams are so common. Don't scan QR codes, links, and give out codes unless you know them and even then your friends might be compromised. Add your friends on other social platforms and confirm with them there about what happened maybe even call them to see if their real before giving them anything. (Yes you have to two factor authenticate your friends legitimacy.) Also 100% DO NOT fall for the artist looking for commission scam, artist will not advertise on discord and even then usually most artist wouldn't be reaching out to you personally. IF they did, make sure you scrutinize their legitimacy and try to find proof they're real and not some scammer using AI art otherwise don't even bother talking since the risk is honestly always bigger than the reward if they do turn out real. TLDR; internets scary, don't get caught lacking. No excuses.

They should make these companies like highpixel legally liable for allowing these scams to continue existing. They are like youtube. They care more about their bottom line than they do about the players.

You know how you beat them? You spam bullshit info into those fields. Their system has to try every one and likely does not filter spam or obviously bogus info.

"Rat" or remote access trojan, basically allows the person to control your computer remotely through the downloaded file, without them having to manually access the computer. This is dangerous because they legit can do anything on it remotely whether that's download a ton of malware and render their computer useless, take their money from bank accounts or others, and steal files or delete important documents. Scarily enough if your very attached to your computer, once this happens you may only have a few minutes, maybe hours if the hacker isn't smart; to delete the file or the access they have and stop it. How this is possible if it even is possible to get them out I don't know but be safe guys... really, I don't want anyone to have a bad time.
